Pelion Venture Partners Promotes Tyler Hogge to Partner

SALT LAKE CITY — July 19, 2024 — Pelion Venture Partners is thrilled to announce the promotion of Tyler Hogge to Partner, after he joined Pelion as a Venture Partner in January 2023. Tyler brings a wealth of operating experience to Pelion and will focus on seed and early stage investing.

Prior to Pelion, Tyler led the product and risk organizations as the SVP of Product at Divvy (a Pelion portfolio company) for 4 years through its acquisition by BILL and has been an active angel investor for several years. Before Divvy, Tyler led product teams at Wealthfront, sales teams at Clearwater, and spent time at Andreessen Horowitz. He graduated with an MBA from Cornell University and an undergraduate degree in Finance from Southern Utah University, where he was also the captain of the Division 1 baseball team. Tyler is also a CFA Charterholder.

“My goal for the next several decades is to invest in and help build dozens of enduring startups and I am honored and excited to do that at Pelion. I joined Pelion originally because of my experience at Divvy with Pelion as our lead investor. Pelion was our most helpful and steady investor, and I want to offer that same partnership to other founders” said Tyler.

Blake Modersitzki, Pelion’s Managing Partner added: “Tyler is the perfect fit to help lead Pelion as we focus on partnering with the best founders in Utah and throughout the nation. He has an incredible track record as an operator that founders love - both in Silicon Valley and Utah - and he knows what great startups look like.  Any founder would be lucky to have him as an investor.”
