Brewer to Support Adoption and Growth of New DPM Platform
Mountain View, CA –February 25, 2016 – SOASTA, the leader in performance analytics, announced today the promotion of Buddy Brewer to Senior Vice President, Products. Brewer will drive SOASTA’s recently launched Digital Performance Management (DPM) platform strategy, product integration and product roadmap, working closely with Engineering, Marketing and other key stakeholders. This announcement follows the launch of the SOASTA DPM platform, which introduced a series of enhancements and services to help digital businesses meet the growing demand for the ultimate measure of performance – the customer experience.
Said Ann Sung Ruckstuhl, SOASTA CMO, “Buddy’s multidisciplinary background makes him uniquely qualified for his new role as head of products. A software engineer by trade, he understands deeply how digital businesses must measure, test and optimize in order to be successful.” She added that Brewer will lead the continued advancement of all of SOASTA’s products, including the industry-leading CloudTest, mPulse and Data Science Workbench products, integrating the DPM platform with third-party APM and customer experience management technologies to comprehensively address enterprise online performance issues.
Brewer joined SOASTA as Vice President of Engineering in 2012 following SOASTA’s acquisition of LogNormal, where Brewer served as co-founder and CEO. His initial responsibility was to oversee the integration of LogNormal’s technology into the SOASTA platform as the mPulse product. Once the software integration was complete, he joined the SOASTA Sales team to oversee the company’s first mPulse deals and run mPulse sales enablement and execution.
Since joining SOASTA, Ruckstuhl explained, Brewer has written and deployed product code, led an engineering team, designed go-to-market strategies, and trained sales teams. Most recently, Brewer played a key role in the DPM launch, including speaking at a number of conferences.
“It has been rewarding to participate in SOASTA’s growth, from its load testing roots to a portfolio of products that helps the world’s leading brands manage their performance across every digital channel,” Brewer said. “I’m excited to lead our Digital Performance Management product strategy, building products that help our customers deliver consistently great user experiences that give them a competitive advantage.”
