I joined the Pelion team eight years ago and, ever since, I’ve enjoyed pulling the oars alongside an amazing and talented team.
I grew up in the heart of Silicon Valley – Mountain View to be exact – where I witnessed firsthand the power of entrepreneurship and technological innovation. And I’m happy to report that the drive and vision of great entrepreneurs continues to amaze me. In fact, learning about the technologies and innovations that will drive the next great disruption (as I like to call it) is what gets me up in the morning.
Since the late 1990’s, I’ve had the opportunity to work with some pretty talented teams. And together, we’ve built a variety of businesses. From bookstores to candy confectioners. For me, the joy is in discovering what makes a business tick. And then doing what’s necessary to drive long-term value.
I also spent five years in South America, where I grew to love the people and culture of its various countries. The whole experience instilled in me the belief that diversity – of people and opinions – is a very valuable part of any organization. And a necessary ingredient for every successful startup.
In the unlikely event I have a free moment or two, I love hiking outdoors (as long as I can sleep in my own bed when I’m done), traveling with my wife and spending time with my kids.
